Freja Bone Broth’s launch of a new range of bone broth soups is bringing the health credentials of bone broth into a more familiar, convenient format.
The new range in the UK includes instant soups such as Classic Tomato, Thai Chicken and Spinach & Leek, alongside a ready-to-heat Classic Chicken & Vegetable soup.

Consumers have always valued healthy options that are also convenient. They want foods that are quick and easy and deliver nutritional value. Freja’s soups fit neatly into this space. The broth naturally provides protein and collagen, delivering amino acids such as glycine and glutamine and electrolytes. With around 8-10g of protein per serving, depending on the variety, the products combine a protein-focused proposition with the familiarity and comfort of soup.
Freja highlights findings from its six-week Bone Broth Benefits Study, in which participants reported improvements including better sleep, reduced joint pain and less fatigue. While these are self-reported outcomes rather than evidence that bone broth caused the changes, they demonstrate the range of health benefits that are attracting consumers to the category.

Rather than asking consumers to think about bone broth as a specialist wellness product, Freja is positioning it as something much simpler: a convenient, nutritious meal that happens to contain protein, collagen and electrolytes. And, given Freja’s messaging of “Nourish yourself with food, not formulas”, it’s no surprise that it’s made with real ingredients.
Freja, whose ambition is to become Europe’s number one bone broth brand, holds around 60% of the UK's fast-growing bone broth market which was estimated at £20 million in retail sale value in 2026.
